Kindle Fire HD tablet sale: Amazon reduces price by $ 30 on Kindle tablet - Examiner.com

A Kindle Fire HD tablet sale is currently running on the Amazon.com website. The e-retailer is offering the popular Kindle Fire device for a reduced price of $ 169, down from $ 199. The sale continues for just a few more days as rumors have surfaced of a new version of Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet line coming in the future.

The CTVNews site reported on July 10 that Amazon is looking to bring tablet users a new device with better resolution than the iPads currently offer. The rumors suggest that Amazon will bring resolution levels to Kindle Fire tablets that rival those of the full-sized iPad and Google Nexus-10 tablets.

Reports claim that Amazon will keep their lineup at just three tablets: the regular Kindle Fire 7-inch, and then the 7 and 8.9-inch models of the Kindle Fire HD. Resolution will reportedly be improved to 1920×1200 on the 7-inch, with the 8.9-inch gets a 2560×1600 pixel upgrade.

Additional reports are suggesting that the new versions of Amazon’s devices will be lighter with a more “chiseled” appearance to them. The expectation is that Amazon will launch these “new and improved” devices sometime in September of this year.

Meanwhile, those who want to benefit from Amazon trying to unload the current models can check out their deal on the Kindle Fire HD 7-inch tablet right now. The company has slashed the price by $ 30 for a fine device, useful for watching videos or movies, reading eBooks, checking email, surfing the internet, playing games and much more. Check out the details of the Kindle Fire HD sale here.

Do you currently own a Kindle Fire HD or iPad tablet? Will you be buying one later this year, and if so which do you prefer?
