Amazon slashes Kindle prices in India - Gizmodo India

Christmas is just round the corner and Amazon India is trying to add a little more merriness in the festivities by announcing a price cut for its range of Kindle devices.

This is a limited period offer, which is available with the 6-inch Kindle and Kindle Paperwhite (both 3G + Wi-fi and only Wi-Fi). The offer starts from December 20 and goes on to December 25.

Under this, all the said Kindle models will be available for Rs. 1,000 less. So the 6-inch Kindle e-reader which was retailing for Rs. 5,999 is now available for Rs. 4,999.

Similarly the Kindle Paperwhite (Wi-Fi model) was earlier going for Rs. 9,999 while earlier it was available for Rs. 10,999. The Kindle Paperwhite (3G + Wi-Fi) version is now available for Rs. 11,999 as opposed to Rs .13,999. In addition to all this, the Kindle Fire HD 8.9-inch is being offered for Rs 17,999. It usual price otherwise was Rs. 21,999.

In addition to these deals, Amazon is also running “A New Deal everyday” promotion and seeks to offer some interesting discounts to customers. It is noteworthy, that just a few days back Google had organised the GOSF in which Amazon and all its rivals had partnered in to offer handsome discounts. Seems like Amazon has not done being the Santa as yet! But we are complaining right?
