Flappy Bird game online days over? Kindle Fire HD, Android app install exists - Examiner.com

Are the Flappy Bird game online days coming to an abrupt end as of Sunday, Feb. 9; It appears the answer to that question is “yes” and “no” all at once. While the game’s creator released a shocking announcement that he was pulling the game from various app stores for iOS and Android devices, it appears the game could still be playable online and with a Flappy Bird Kindle Fire HD install tip which should work for other Android mobile gadgets. Meanwhile, fans of the game and writers are trying to decipher just why it’s “Game Over” so soon for the popular app.

According to Tech Media Source in a Feb. 9 report, Flappy Bird game developer Dong Nguyen made the shocking announcement on Saturday that he was pulling his game from iTunes App Store and Google Play Store. The news came as a shock to fans and mystery to tech writers across the internet, as it had previously been reported that Nguyen’s game was bringing in as much as $ 50,000 a day from in-game ad revenue. Nguyen sent out a series of tweets with regards to his decision, saying on his Twitter account:

“I am sorry ‘Flappy Bird’ users, 22 hours from now, I will take ‘Flappy Bird’ down. I cannot take this anymore. “

“It is not anything related to legal issues. I just cannot keep it anymore. “

“I also don’t sell ‘Flappy Bird’, please don’t ask.”

“And I still make games.”

The Mirror of UK reports that the game first released for iOS back in May 2013, and was at the top of Apple’s free game rankings earlier this year. The game released for Android around that same time and has enjoyed a popular run due to its very simplistic, albeit frustraing, style of gameplay. Some have criticized the game for its simple concept, while others have enjoyed hours of endless attempts to navigate a bird between green pipes without dying. High scores have been anywhere from 3 up to 9,999, depending on the skill of the game player (or if hacks are used).

It appears the Flappy Bird game download may still live on for Android devices even after the game has been yanked from the stores too. There’s already been talk of ways to install Flappy Bird for Kindle Fire HD and other Android devices using a special file and free app. Game maker Dong Nguyen also has other games, so fans of his bird-tapping game shouldn’t fret over the latest news, as the game is set to fly off into the sunset on Sunday.
