A Kindle Fire HDX 7 and 8.9-inch tablet sale is currently underway at Amazon website, with consumers able to save on various models of the mobile devices. Also included is the HD model in 8.9-inch variety as part of the sales promotion that appears to be associated with Valentine’s Day gift-buying season 2014.
According to CNET.com ‘s report from Feb. 4, notes that the 7-inch HDX model is just $ 199, making for a savings of $ 30 off the normal $ 229 price. In addition, the 8.9-inch HDX is priced at $ 339, making for a savings of $ 40 off the regular price of $ $ 379. An 8.9-inch model of the Fire HD is a whopping $ 80 off, making for a huge deal in addition to the other two mentioned. As noted by the CNET report, this gives buyers a substantial price discount when choosing a tablet, making the 7-inch HDX around the same price as the Google Nexus 7 tablet, and a hundred dollars or so cheaper than the iPad Mini. The HD at $ 189 is also an enticing deal, giving a bigger version of the tablet.
Amazon offered some deals in the past several weeks on their tablets including a promotional savings code which appeared to be related to the Super Bowl 2014. However, that promotion concluded, and after a few days, the latest “limited time” promotion appeared on the website, with no special codes required at checkout. The Kindle Fire HDX 7-inch model was first launched in was released to the public in October of 2013, with the 8.9-inch mode available in November of 2013, with lower-priced HD models also released. There has yet to be any news related to new releases in the Kindle Fire lineup, but those could be on the way in the coming months heading towards the holiday shopping season.
