There’s a Kindle Fire HD tablet sale at Best Buy as Saturday’s “Deal of the Day” for the electronics retailer’s website. The one-day only sale features various models of the tablet including different versions of the HD and newer Kindle Fire HDX editions at discounted prices. The deals arrive ahead of Black Friday 2013 sales, which Best Buy will hold starting on Thanksgiving Day.
According to I4U.com on Nov. 16, the sale started on Saturday and runs just for the day, but discounts all 7-inch models of the Kindle Fire HD tablets by 15%. The deal is available in-stores and online with limited quantities available. The sale basically reduces prices to $ 118.99 to $ 229.49, making for savings of $ 21 to $ 40.50 on the tablets.
The Kindle Fire HDX is among the newest versions of Amazon’s popular tablet lineup, which was just updated a few months ago. Many retailers are advertising some of the previous Kindle Fire HD’s as part of their upcoming Black Friday 2013 doorbuster deals or in-store sales, while it seems Best Buy is looking to get started a bit early.
The Amazon website ran a similar promotion earlier this month by offering select models of their tablets for 15% off. The sale was a one-day only promotion as a thank you to the Federal Aviation Administration for lightening up on their polices regarding passenger use of mobile devices during take-off and landing of flights.
It seems for today, Saturday, Nov. 16, only, Best Buy will be offering a better deal on the Kindle Fire HD tablets than Amazon itself. Black Friday 2013 week may reveal more sales and deals from Amazon as a response to the latest low-priced deal on their tablets.
