A new Sony PS4 bundle deal arrived at Amazon on the official day of the launch of the anticipated Sony PlayStation 4 video game console. The latest deal allows shoppers to pick up a PS4 along with the new Kindle Fire HDX tablet (7-inch model) for $ 30 off. In addition, it appears that Amazon has PS4 availability, as the launch edition of the console is now listed as available for orders.
On Nov. 15, Holiday Gift Nation reported on this new deal which officially began at 12:01 am Eastern Standard Time via the Amazon website. The deal gives the two items, the Sony PS4 console along with the Kindle Fire HDX 16GB 7-inch tablet, for $ 599. Separately, the items cost $ 399 for the video game console and $ 229 for the Kindle Fire HDX tablet. Some are saying this isn’t the best deal, as it’s really only $ 30 off. That’s not to mention that it appears customers can order the PlayStation 4 on its own.
Amazon lists the launch edition of the console as available for shipment. Pre-orders were said to begin releasing in the United States on Friday, with customers of Best Buy, Walmart and Gamestop, among other retailers, able to go over and pick up their new consoles as of midnight. Various locations held launch parties and other special events in conjunction with the deal. Some locations reportedly were going to have the consoles in stock, but in limited quantities.
As of this report, there’s no other notable deals being offered on the new video game systems. The Sony PlayStation 4 seems to have a firm price of $ 399.99, while the Microsoft Xbox One is $ 100 more at $ 499. Some retailers are advertising the consoles on their Thanksgiving and Black Friday 2013 sales flyers, but there are no discounts shown yet. It remains to be seen if Amazon will give any sort of discount on the console in the coming weeks, with their Black Friday Deals Week about a week away.
